Didn't cost anything, it was a gift. Got it last Christmas.
[With Beatrice vanished since then and having come back not remembering, he's gotten twice as possessive of the chain. Thus, chasing down and fighting wild Murkrows. He sounds a little wistful about it.]

You really don't get along that well with wildlife, do you.
[OH LOOK WHO'S TALKING. Tone pretty dry, he does looks curious - but not curious enough to ask if he got it back or who it was from. The first will be seen when Envy turns on the vid, anyway.]
But yeaaah we've been here a few days now. How long have you been out? And who's coming?
Hey, I'm not Miguel. I don't see any reason to get along with damn birds that sneak up behind me and steal from my bag. [Yeah, the scratches all over his arms and feathers in his hair are a testament to how little Envy got along with the Murkrow.]
We left Monday, so...it shouldn't be much longer. Maybe a couple days. It's me, France, Romano, and L--Isabel. [He's not too worried about telling Tulio her name at this point, but he figures she'll tell him herself when they meet if she wants to.]
Well I didn't bring any of my Pokemon, and I had to catch it somehow... [In otherwords, yes. Envy actually tackled it out of the air. He looks kind of defensive about this.]
[But holy shit the fields. They are indeed ridiculous; Envy preferred the forest even.] Yeah, we've noticed. I've been having Izumi fly ahead to keep track of where we're going.
[action] Assuming this is after Envy comes back, if not I'll edit!exeggutorheadSeptember 22 2011, 05:57:29 UTC
[Envy shoots Romano a glare and an annoyed sneer, and holds up the chain that's clenched in one fist. After all the trouble and running and bird scratches it took to get that thing back, he is not letting go of it any time soon.]
I got it back, didn't I? If a bird took something from you, you'd never be able to catch it.
[action] /o/ it's perfect~!piccolo_tomateSeptember 23 2011, 16:28:32 UTC
[Romano just laughs at Envy. He'd have been intimidated were Envy not a friend of France's. And since he was, there was no escaping his judgement. The battle scars Envy received from the bird did not earn any respect from Romano.]
Yeah, but only after you made yourself look incredibly stupid, damn it. [OH NO HE DID NOT JUST CALL HIM SHORT] Shut up! When I get bigger, I'll kick your ass for saying such things!
[Now that he's had a good look at the necklace, Romano takes a tentative step towards Envy. There is something familiar about it, but he can't figure out why.] ...What is that thing anyway?
[action 1/2]exeggutorheadSeptember 25 2011, 22:17:41 UTC
[Oh Romano, you are so lucky that you are under France's protection. Envy can do nothing to you no matter how much of a brat you are. But he does snicker at managing to get that indignant response.]
Yeah, not likely kid. Even if you were older, I could win easily.
[She's heard some other experiences, enough to get a general idea, but she's still curious. ... Aaaand sympathetic about the Murkrow thing. Oh yeah. She's been there.]
[When Envy gets back to reply to this, he looks like he's gotten into a fistfight with a flock of Murkrows and also the ground. It did not give him back his necklace easily. And while he's still pretty annoyed at having to chase a bird through a field, he's happy to talk about the badge.]
Really easy. Chimera's a dark type, all the ghosts went down in one hit.
...watch out for the holes in the floor when you go in, though.
I don't think I beat him near badly enough to make up for designing his gym like that.
[Yeah, Envy had spent a lot of time at the bottom of them too. There was a reason he hadn't wound up filming that particular fight, the way he'd looked after all that falling.]

[There's a momentary incredulity to that, but he nods when he hears the list.]
Right, so the usual idiots plus one. [HE DOESN'T MEANT IT ENVY HE LOVES YOU.] Don't get lost in those fields. They're impossible.

Whatever Envy lost must have been very important.]
You shouldn't have been dumb enough to let a bird run away with your treasure, stupid! [...He might regret saying that later.]

[Alessa wasn't her strongest battler, but the Absol would probably be her best bet against Morty.]
... And yeah, they mentioned the holes, too.
[She had a strong feeling she was gonna spend a lot of time down at the bottom of those things.]
