I have started visiting http://electoral-vote.com/ on a weekly basis to check the electorial map.  In a presidential election every thing else is irrelevant.  Even though Gallup has Obama and Romney in a virtual tie, the electorial map based on individual state polls show Obama in real good shape.  It takes 270 electorial votes to win and right now ( Read more... )

We had a pretty light winter this year here on earth, so there isn't that much relief that it is over, but the same isn't true on Mars.  Many of us were concerned that our little robot on Mars wouldn't survive the Martian winter, but Tuesday we got good news.  The Mars rover "Opportunity" is on the go again.

On June 16, 1986, 24 year old Jamie Moyer made his major league pitching debut for the Chicago Cubs. I have followed his career since he was drafted.
