[Zuko meanders off to the beach again to train, because it's still the most private and least flammable of all the mansion's areas. When there, he discovers all the junk washed up on the shore. This is weird, this is most definitely weird. Weirder still is a picture frame jutting out from the sand. He instantly spots it, grabs it, and stares at the

[Look who's also wandered off to train, but for different reasons? The beach has water, and Katara feels like practicing her bending.

So that's where she is, planning on doing some training and also thinking about things. Except everything goes out of her head when she sees something buried in the mixture of sand and snow. She passes quickly by Zuko, nearly bumping into him in her haste to get to whatever it is she's seen.]

[Woah. He almost gets run over by her. What did she see?]

Katara?

..What's that?

[He didn't get a good look at whatever she's gone crazy about.]

I'm not sure.

[She gets closer to it, and not seeing any better way of getting whatever it is out, she bends down and tries to dig it out with her hands.]

Did you find something?

[He nods. Zuko's voice lowers and he goes back to looking at the portrait.]

I..found a picture of my mother.

[Is Yuu the only person not out here to train?

Maybe.

He sees Zuko pulling the picture out of the sand and comes a bit closer, curious but not wanting to intrude.]

Zuko?

[Oh, he recognizes that voice, and it's one he hasn't heard in a while.]

Hey, Yuu.

[His voice sounds more morose than usual, which is saying something.]

I think all this stuff might be from our worlds..

[From a quick look at all the junk here, he can assume that.]

I think you're right.

[Yuu comes a bit closer, getting a look at the picture Zuko's holding. He remembers Zuko's hallucination during the Evangelion event, and makes a guess.]

Is that your mother...?

[He nods.]

..Yeah.

[Zuko goes back to dusting the portrait off. Nope, Zuko isn't a man of many words.]

[Not too far away, Beiste is struggling with her "gift" from home. It's not too heavy or anything, but it's pretty well buried and it's probably too unwieldy for her to take back to her room on her own.

For now she's working at unearthing it with a shovel.]

[What is that thing? Zuko's mildly curious about the weird object she's digging up. He idly notices it seems to big for one person to carry, but he's not one to pry into the business of other people, especially people he doesn't know. If she asks him to help her or begins struggling with it, however, he'll probably comply.]

Prob'ly something to do with those windows into our worlds.
