It is very possible. And yes I am a Jedi now, though I haven't always been one. For five years I was forced into as an apprentice to power Sith named Darth Nihilus.

Perhaps I was simply 'out of it' as my companion Atton would say. I did feel certain areas (or perhaps people) where I couldn't feel the Force. The Force is in all things, at least in my respective world so this would throw me quite off.
