Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

Be warned! The text under the cut WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS of the book! Alot of spoilers. Major spoilers. Spoilers of doom. You have been warned.

Random thoughts! I may or may not add more when my brains aren't sleeping. Ehheh.

Let's start from the basics, shall we? I loved the book. I do love it. My expectations were high for the final book and I feel like I wasn't let down one bit - in fact the opposite, and that's what makes JKR a goddess. She constantly manages to surprise you.

Ron & Hermione... Swoon. The kiss was worth of waiting for. To me it totally came from the bushes: I knew to expect it, and for the first part of the book I eagerly waited for it, but at some point (I think it was Ron coming back to Hermy & Harry - what was I thinking) I was so sure it was going to happen that when it didn't I sort of stopped waiting and forgot about it. And then it happened - YAY! Too cute for words.

I cried few times while reading the book, but the one that stood out the most was when Snape died and the pensive scene after that. (In fact, I was crying so bad at that point that my boyfriend had to come and comfort me.) Snape's always been one of my favourite characters in the books (not always the most loveable one, you know, but so so so wonderful and interesting) and it I'm sad he had to die, but at the same time I knew it had to happen and it made sense. I knew it was coming anyway so on some level I was prepared. That whole chapter of him... woah. Loooved it. I had always hoped he'd end up being on the good side in the end, but after reading DH a bit I gave up. And then just when I had lost my hope in him it happened. Perfect. I also thought the whole Snape/Lily relationship and Snape's undying love for her was seven shapes of shiny. <3

Fred's death was a shocker, I guess for anyone. I was never the biggest fan of the twins althought I do think they're awesome so it didn't affect me as much as some people, but it took me a good while to understand what had happened. I remember sitting in a car while reading it, and my mouth just dropped and I gasped at the boyfriend: "Fred's dead. They killed Fred. Holy crap... Fred!"

And poor Dobby! His death was a hard one to take, especially since it happened right after him having been such a hero. I don't really know what more to say about it. It still makes me sad to even think about it. :(
