The nurse joked about how many hours it would take to shave my legs, then my doctor initialed each one, a reminder that both legs needed doing. They wheeled me into the operating room with old-style Mississippi blues in the background, said I was going to go to sleep now, and I was out. I was going to be much more amused if your sentence stopped at "but I am a little concerned about humping my schoolbooks".

Have you seen ikiru ? You should, it is a kurosawa film, but placed in the 1950s. Good shit. Somethign to do while being crippled.

You had a partially obstructed airway, most likely your tongue or saliva, and they tilted your chin back to open it up again. Like y'do for CPR.

We'll find a way to tote those books around. I'm worried that we might not get my car all day every day, considering Dad will need it for meetings and whatnot while he's here. We'll stash as much as we can in your locker, leave early, and just take it really slow.

Are your legs completely shaved? If so, I think it's time to go to Rocky Horror... I mean, when you feel better and can walk alright and stuff, o' course!

Not quite...I'll need to trim my feet, and I have what I've come to call "canadian boxer shorts" because I have a hairline halfway down my thigh. Some editing may be necessary hehe.

Sounds like fun though!

Glad to hear you came through the surgery alright, and here's hoping the recovery goes smoothly. Are they expecting you'll need to go under the knife again?
