Giant squid are deep-ocean dwelling animals that can grow up to 20 meters long! - For those of you who don't know the metric system, that's like 10 football fields!

I thought that this was a wee bit long, so I did some yard to meter conversion... A football field is 100 yards, right? So, 100 yards = 91.44 meters (according to OnlineConversion.com). Am I missing something? Are you talking about a different kind of meter?
