But I'm here to reply now and you prob. don't wanna hear this, but that's not what I would call a "friend"! So what if she ends up liking you better than him? Big whoop! It's nothing to lose a friend over! Just cuz you're the "better" of the two doesn't mean he should be so jealous of u and cuz he ain't gettin any! Tell him to get over it! As cheesy as it sounds, friends should mean more to you than some one you wanna get with!
