I lived with my grandmother until I got married at 22, and it was the same relationship. We would never, ever get along. We disagreed over everything and I was infuriated by how judgmental she was, all the time. I can only imagine how much worse it would be now, if I was living with her with my kids. The way I made it through as a child was to try to just be grateful that I had her and to remind myself how much she truly loved and sacrificed for me. I'm a devout Catholic with a Master's in literature and I absolutely agree that your daughter's choice of "characters" is right on. As a matter of fact, Jesus is the MAIN character in the New Testament, just as God is the MAIN character in the Old and New Testament. Can't have the Bible without God and Jesus!

I've missed you. I wish I could come and wisk away you and your girls. We could even out the playing field at my house if you'd just move in! ;)

Love you.
