[The video switches on and Hannah gives a slight bow as she looks down. She never looks directly at the camera. Her dress is torn up and it's obvious she's been in a fight. One that was pretty bloody, but she's trying to hide the wound in her stomach.]

[He doesn't like the look of all that blood, but to be fair, it may not be entirely hers. He doesn't much like the way she talks either, or the word 'master' in there, and for once he's glad for an entirely different reason that Fenris isn't here.]

I don't imagine your master is here now, for what that is worth. Are you injured? I can heal you if you need it.

[Her master is dead, so no, he probably isn't here unfortunately for her.]

My injuries are fine. There's no need to concern yourself. [They'll be healed up after tomorrow thanks to the whole demon thing.] Thank you for answering me, though.

[Normally he might argue that they don't look like the sort of thing that might be called 'fine', but then again, he's seen others here with magic and healing like his own, so that might be what she means.]

[Her demeanour... Anders shifts slightly, eyeing her for a moment before speaking again.]

[Technically she is a slave, though it is a lot more complicated than that. A demon works by different rules, but she does know that saying she is would not be pleasing anybody.]

No. I am simply a maid for the Trancy Estate.

A servant then? In some places that isn't necessarily that much better a place to be. But either way, I'm afraid you're not likely to find your employers here, nor any easy way home.

I don't suppose you have any skills beyond cooking and cleaning, by any chance?

[She doesn't answer to that first bit. Her time and her situation are very different.]

Well that'll come in handy, I'm afraid. From what I've seen and heard so far, you'll have to do a least a little fighting sooner or later.

But don't let that worry you. There are plenty of us here who are more than familiar with that sort of thing and at least some of us won't mind helping out if you ever need it.

Only in the sense that someone apparently thinks bringing us here to do fight against strange creatures is a sort of game. I imagine those actually doing the fighting at the time might beg to differ.

Unless you happen to like treating the chance that you or others might get killed as a game.

[Killing doesn't really bother her, so none of this affects her. Just being stuck and away from her home is what's getting to her. Still she makes her voice sound sadder.]

Are our captors human...?

[Anders shrugs loosely.] I couldn't say. As far as I know, no one's seen them. They could just as easily be elves or Qunari or some other race I've never heard of, or maybe blood mages or demons.

[Or something else entirely that he didn't even know the words for, something Thedas didn't have at all.]

I'm not certain there's any way to tell for sure.

Demons?

...I do not think they could be demons, though.

I wouldn't be so certain. Demons are foul creatures seeking to prey on the mortal world, and they'd have the power to do something like this if a blood mage or someone made a deal with them. Or were just stupid enough to let themselves become a puppet for such things.

I don't know what they're like in your world, or if you even have them at all, but where I'm from, demons are an ever-present danger for mages. I can't simply dismiss the idea that they could be linked, even if the chance is small.

[Oh, now this talk is interesting. Considering she is a demon and well, mages don't really exist where she comes from.]

I'm sorry for all my questions, or if this is prying too much, but why are they dangerous for mages?
