I think this is an amazing idea, and look forward to this project getting off the ground. Since I'm not an artist but a writer, I figure I can pitch in some name suggestions:

Illuminated Manuscripts
The Gallery Proofs (play on galley proofs)
One Thousand Words
(or some variation on the above, like "What a Picture is Worth")

definitely a good suggestion, but there's already a well known blog called that that reviews art books. we're trying to make something out of ex libris, possibly...
