international calling is for sucks

yay i bought me an international calling card so i can call a friend of mine in japan...

yay ive tried over a dozen different ways of dialing numbers and area codes and all that, and everything i have done has failed....
anyone have any insight on this?

do a google search on calling to Japan and ask for her number again.
Those are the only suggestions I have, since I haven't actually called out of country before. Don't really plan on doing so anytime soon either.
