So I'm doing this photo essay on political music/music as a tool for social change/ communities of musical activists, I'm thinking riotfolk kinds of things. Do you have suggestions of people I should talk to, music I should listen to (and then track down the musicians/communities), communities I should check out, and especially shows or musicians in the Santa Cruz area. (boston might work too as I'll be home for a week around thanksgiving in november before the project is due, but santa cruz would be better) I could probly make it to San Fransisco, but not really any further than that. even just suggestions of music I should hear (if only for my own enjoyment reguardless of the project) that would be awsome! thanks.

We'd love for you to come back down here to Miami sometime and play at the the Firefly, an awesome venue/infoshop my friends run outta their house (did you stop by there when you were down here?).
