Part Two
Senpai, notice me! (SuhoxChen) - These two have come from simply being line formation buddies to being arguably one of Suho’s most popular ships, thanks to Chen’s touchy-feeliness around his beloved Suho senpai hyung. Moments started early on, but as time passed it seemed as though it was coming more from Chen. It seemed as though Chen would then forever be initiating contact with a passive Suho, and would be a one-sided ship forever, until one day, senpai finally returned his hug. We hope that they finally get a chance to have their promised meal together, as Chen mentioned in an interview.
David and Goliath (SuhoxChanyeol) - These two generally have a playful relationship. Chanyeol’s crazy energy has a fun effect on our dear gramps, despite possible awkward moments. Suho allows Chanyeol to be his touchy and controlling self around him. While Chanyeol trolls everyone, you’ll be surprised to know that Suho trolls Chanyeol too! Suho also wants to have Chanyeol’s height (or at least grow taller?), as shown in how he trolls Chanyeol about his height. This also happened in Chanyeol’s birthday event, but in the end, he just stood up on a chair and looked proudly at his “son” as he was giving his birthday message to him.
The Parents (SuhoxD.O.) - Suho and D.O. started bonding during pre-debut and pictorial season. They are known as EXO-K’s parents, because Suho is the leader and D.O. cooks and cleans their dorms most of the time (and admits to be the group’s mom, himself). D.O. sees and respects Suho as his hyung but he silently judges him when he’s being immature (which is most of the time). However, Kyungsoo approves of Suho stripping. Look, he’s checking him out! Sometimes, Suho rides Kyungsoo’s humor by purposely acting cute and supporting eomma with his decisions. Oh, Suho is proud of his wifey!
Suho enjoys D.O.’s company way too much. Look at that smile! Jokes aside, I think Kyungsoo trusts Leader’s decisions too.
Jun Ma Hao and Zi Tao (Suho x Tao) - During their Beijing showcase, Suho said that he initially thought that Tao was scary charismatic, but that after some time, he’s come to realize that Tao is just full of cute. Because Tao couldn’t pronounce “Junmyeon”, he made his own very special nickname for his Suho hyung--Jun Ma Hao. And even though Gramps loves his Junmen nickname, he lets himself be Tao’s Jun Ma Hao. Suho also seems to dote on him so much. For instance, he wanted Tao to cry for him on Chinese Television. Also, during Idol Olympics, he looked after a sleepy Taozi, and even sang a lullaby for the baby panda, even though earlier, Tao was being a diva and asking Gramps to clean his pants (which Suho did, of course). Tao also dotes on his Jun Ma Hao in return, but he fears that Suho might get angry when he goes overboard.
Jun Ma Hao is a precious hyung to Tao (as all of them are), that he sat beside him on the plane ride before Suho’s birthday party, and even kissed his cheek! Oh, and it seems like Suho wanted to return the favor. Suho, being the loving hyung that he is, lets Tao act all cute and spoiled around him.
Push Pull Couple (SuhoxKai) - A lot of fans thought that Kai and Suho weren’t close at all, due to Kai rejecting Suho’s advances TLC. However, over time, this rejection has proven to be most likely caused by Kai’s tsundere-ness, or was probably due to the fact that they’ve already known each other for more than five years, and not really because of any animosity on either part.
There are misunderstandings surrounding these moments, that fans put together and assumed SuKai is mostly one-sided. When Kai “harshly” moved away from Suho’s attempt to “hug” him, it was actually because they volunteered to simulate how to play for the participating fans and Suho had reached over just as the “DANCE START” message showed up which understandably led to Kai’s rushed reaction. In addition to this, regarding when Kai “rejected” Suho’s mic, fans may want to take note that it would have been much more disrespectful and “thoughtless” of Kai to refuse the mic that a senior in the entertainment industry (the MC of the Genie event) offered him rather than for him to refuse Suho’s. Remember how seniority is a seriously taken issue in Korea? Not to mention, Suho’s the one who rejected Kai’s mic, a whole month earlier. Though the incident at Genie has been widely labeled as one of bratty!Kai moments for most fans, we can now see it as “Kai’s payback.”
Kai also said that he knows he wasn’t close to his hyung before, but since he was a good hyung who always fed him (lol), they eventually grew closer. Besides, Kai once mentioned that he can’t live without his Suho hyung. He even introduced Suho to his parents! Look at the brotherly atmosphere, Kai’s affection for Suho (and his even more public affection for Suho’s riches lol) is seen in recent events and various airport moments.
Leader/Maknae Roommates (SuhoxSehun) - Sehun has often stated that Suho is his lucky charm, for he feels his hyung’s loving guarding presence at night. Even though Sehun claimed that he knew true friendship when he met Luhan, Sehun seems to enjoy Suho’s company a lot too. They go on bubble tea dates, and go cycling together in the mornings. Sehun loves to cling to Junmyeon hyung too much, and even whisper closely to him, especially during overseas trips. Suho loves to troll and tease Sehun on cam too, but he does this so that maknae will learn how to deal with uhm, monotony shyness on cam.
Because he is so mild-mannered and soft, some people were skeptical about Suho at first. As it turns out, Junmyeon chose the perfect name, because he really is the guardian of EXO. He leads with thought and care. His earnestness often overshadows his competence, but it’s his aim to please that shows you just how much he cares for EXO, for his members, and for the fans. He’s worked so, so hard to get where he is now, and you just know that his heart is in the right place.
Fans have nicknamed him “Gramps” because of his old-man tendencies. Perhaps it is more appropriate to say that Suho is an old soul. He belongs to that cadre of men who’ve matured way beyond their years. And yet it is a blessing that he hasn’t forgotten to remember the joy of being young. Don’t let that glorious smile and gentle countenance fool you, however. Suho knows what he wants, and he’s willing to work hard to achieve his dreams. Really, is there any other better man?
Suho is a man of both conviction and dedication. Good thing he is, and good thing he persevered through seven years of hard training. If he had just been any other person, we might not have our loveable leader today. At the end of the day, we admit, Suho is the epitome of vanilla-flavored ice cream. But what exactly is vanilla made out of? The ingredients are quite simple: vanilla bean, milk, and sugar. And despite all his facets and complexities, Suho’s a simple guy at heart, too. He’s just made out of love, sex, and magic. No other ingredients needed.

Suho is love. That was what was going through our heads the entire time we were writing this, and that is what this pimp post is all about. Suho, plain and simple, is love. Just like the love he inspires in all of us, Suho deserves all of our love. And we hope, that through our ramblings musings essay of just why Suho is love and why we love him, we hope you learn to love (and appreciate) him more as well.
