Chen is still carrying a torch after a recent [or not-so-recent] breakup. Breaking up is hard to do, but it's necessary when it just doesn't work. He can't explain it. He wants love, and he thought what he had before was love, but maybe it wasn't enough. Maybe he's greedy.

Or maybe he's just not found the right person, yet.

+++++++ TRUE LOVE. SOUL MATES. Make it schmoopy and romantic. Like, wind-blowing-through-their-hair-dramatically-but-still-looks-good-when-they-casually-meet-eyes-from-total-opposite-ends-of-a-bridge.
+ Lay's in a relationship when he meets Chen and ends up deciding he's much happier with Chen. A nice breakup, though; don't needlessly hurt the other person. All I want from this is something so sappy that I cry, because I'm hopeless.

It was the fifth time this week that I had come to Hangang Park and just sat on the swings staring at the immense sky above. Without him, the night is shattered and the stars shiver in the distance. I told myself that I shouldn't shed any more tears for someone like him but I can still hear his laughter from the time we always met up here for we both loved the innocence of parks. My sight kept searching for him, as to go to him and my heart looked for him but he was nowhere to be found. Through nights like this, I kissed him under the endless sky and I settle comfortably into his arms. Now, he is no longer with me but probably with another. Someone else that could satisfy him, someone else who could please him and someone else he could say I love you to. He never once said I love you to me. Not once in the three blissful months we were together. I said it enough for the both of us. Sadly, it still wasn't enough ( ... )

The stranger smiled and took a seat next to me. "I don't know exactly. I was in a car accident with my parents and they didn't make it but I did. After that near-death experience, this power -if you could call it that- saved me because I managed to heal myself but it was too late for my parents. It stayed with me ever since. I didn't even know this had been filled. Although it was somewhat hard to read, because it wasn't paragraphed, I think it still read well. I actually read it out loud to my cat, which made it easier to read as well as more hurtful for my heart. orz

I like that the powers were incorporated. I didn't even consider that when I wrote the prompt, but it worked. Being able to heal (With the multi-meaning'd "Let me heal you." Good gravy, that was sweet.) would mean that anything Jongdae did wouldn't be harmful [for long]; it might not be a balance, necessarily, but it's like a compromise, which can work just as well.

. . . I felt like a magnet and earlier he managed to repel me. All I wanted to do now was to attract him back to me. The romantic in me is very pleased. UwU Thank you for filling this.
