the story goes like this:
A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.
it doesn't have to be exactly the same as the movie but I really like the general of idea of wanting to forget only to realise the loss is much more painful than the memories themselves
