Kai gets in a car wreck. Kris, being the only witness, runs to Kai's side and finds him alive but badly injured. He does whatever he can to keep Kai alert until paramedics arrive (asking his name, birthday, making him laugh, etc.)

-if Kai dies, make it really sad. Blood, tears, "I wish I'd met you sooner", that kind of thing
-if Kai lives, Kris visits him in the hospital and brings an excessive amount of balloons and stuffed animals and maybe they date later? Idk
