One night after a practice which runs late, Junmyeon and Baekhyun are the last to go down in the elevator, but the ongoing thunderstorm knocks out the power and they're stuck together until it comes back on or the managers find someone to fix it. They watch the thunderstorm through the glass walls of the elevator and end up talking because they have nothing better to do ( ... )

After a while the older gives up and scratches his neck in thought. "I'll call Manager-hyung," he mumbles "guess we're stuck." Baekhyun wants to make a funny comeback, something along the lines of 'There's not enough people to be murdered for this to make a decent film', but the thought of how embarrassingly scared he'd been when he'd watched 'Devil' keeps him back ( ... )

"We should try and get you to do something you enjoy." He suggests, and Baekhyun wants to hug him for that. "What would you like to do? I'll speak to manager-hyung about it." The younger doesn't have to think about that for long: "I want to go on a variety show." he says, but uncertainty fills him again at the thought. He doesn't know if he can do it alone. "You should! You'll be great at it, I'm sure." the leader smiles, but Baekhyun bites his bottom lip ( ... )

"Thank you." He says earnestly, resting his head on Joonmyun's shoulder. The other wraps his arms around him after a few seconds of shock. It's comfortable, and Baekhun doesn't want to let go, but he fears it'll turn awkward if he hangs onto the older for too long. They both look away, sitting back down next to each other. Minutes pass in silence, before Baekhyun says: "I don't know where I'd be without you." His voice is very quiet, and it's really awkward because he hates sappy things like this but at the same time he thinks he needs to say it ( ... )

Hey there, op! Don't thank me, this was a lot of fun to write. I really liked how sweet the prompt was and couldn't resist :) So glad you liked it that much, though, it's a relief! Last prompt I filled the op never got back to me so I wasn't sure about filling again, but this is definitely encouraging! Thank you for all the kind words!
