kris is a popular popstar and kyungsoo is his filler voice who has been secretly singing in his place hidden behind the stage (like in the 200 Pounds Beauty movie)

kris never met kyungsoo bc his manager forbids him. kris has always feel bad about being a fake singer, he always mouth to kyungsoo's voice in his songs and wishing how he could've posses the talent instead.

meanwhile kyungsoo has always dreamed to sing on a stage but he could never display the aura and confidence like kris. for now he's just content in singing behind the veil.

“come on now yifan, time to get on the stage,” yixing pressures, his eyes glued to his handheld and a pen sitting on his ear. his words are icy and distant, and the quiet push can be heard even with how far away yixing is-he’s already planning the things kris will be doing next week, and the week after that. there’s less than a minute before he has to step out in front of the crowd with cocky smiles, walls of back-up dancers and flashy lights. if he was sane, he’d be right next to the curtains next to the stage help, ready to saunter onto the stage in seconds, or step away if anything bad happened.

he couldn’t stop himself this time. as this was his third album, the company had decided that it was best to take a different approach, and so many of the songs on the album were powerful and heart-wrenching to show off the singer’s beautiful voice. yifan had trouble “singing” onstage when he knew that somewhere behind him; someone with infinitely more talent was singing for him. he needed to meet this person-he needed to say hello, and see why he couldn’t be on stage with him

okay i guess it's my fault for not specifying further; i didn't really intent for kyungsoo to be 200 pounds or anything in the orig prompt, just the inspiration of him being a filler voice.
