Hah indeed! Nope, you are definitely not the only one. There's a whole bunch of artists I follow on deviantArt purely because they make hilarious, dorktacular fanart of their own characters. Do you post yours anywhere?

I've never posted any of it, though I might think about it eventually when I get something worth making public (I'm not formally trained or anything). Also when I have free time and a lot of it.

I always wondered if it would make me look like an egotist to post fanart/fic for my own works, actually. I know that might sound weird, but I guess I just don't want to seem too full of myself and my writing a la GTesch. ;-)

I know how you feel about the only posting things you feel are worthwhile, but you shouldn't let the fact that you're not formally trained stop you! One useful thing I learned from dA is that you really shouldn't be afraid to post your art even if you feel it isn't great, because one of the best ways you improve is by showing your art to people and getting feedback/critique. I fully understand the free time thing, though. Most of the time I ignore studying to draw ( ... )
