Well, friends, in a few hours, we’ll be saying good-bye to 2009 and welcoming 2010.  It’s hard to believe that 2009 is already over!  We’ve had a busy year as we adjusted to live in Colorado, making friends and trying not to miss the friends and family we left behind in Illinois.

Today, for some reason, our furnace decided it needed to take a nap.  Mostly, it just refused to kick on, so our house was a very chilly 66 degrees today.  Brr.

We called the company that installed it (they handily put their phone number on the furnace), and their tech guy talked us through the reset.  And that was all it needed.  After being reset ( Read more... )

It’s Day 2 of our trip back to CO, or it should be as long as nothing changed.  Since we’re not planning on driving straight through, and we’re not planning on splurging on a hotel with free wi-fi, I’m pre-posting this.  You’re so lucky… you get a slightly stale post today!

It was cold last night.  One of those nights where I just couldn’t get warm.  So I turned on the electric blanket, then I tucked my pj’s under the comforter so they would be warm when I changed for bed.  And I decided I would do the same for Josh’s sleeping pants.  When I told him (so he would know where to find his pants), he told me that was real ( Read more... )

It’s been snowing here since Friday afternoon… three days of snow kinda feels like being back in Colorado!
