Details: During her little misadventure through the world behind the wallpaper, one of Coraline's few allies was a black cat. This Sneasel could have definitely been some kind of kindred spirit of that same cat-- their behaviors are similar, and Coraline claims they look very much alike. Do they in actuality? Not... exactly... But the Sneasel has the same mangy black fur and sardonic gaze, at least. Because of her experience with the black cat, Coraline treats the Sneasel like a friend rather than a pet-- she speaks to him as if she can understand him, keeps him out of his Pokeball nearly constantly, and refuses to give him a nickname (she sticks to referring to him as "the cat" or "the Sneasel"). The Sneasel has a very calm outward demeanor, but judging by the way Coraline argues with him, he's a bit of a rebellious thing. He is devoted to Coraline and protects her vehemently, but manages to have an air of superiority around himself. In battle, he often depends on his speed and agility, as well as some cleverness-- he may trick an opponent during battle to get the upper hand.

Details: Turble is quite possibly the most excitable baby Trapinch ever. The moment upon hatching, she was full of energy and natural curiosity, and it has stayed that way. However, it turns out, despite her curiosity, the Trapinch is, in actuality, very timid. She'll rush up to something, excited about finding out what it is, and... will promptly run away if whatever it is gets too close. The Pokemon also has a very natural habit of burrowing into the ground when frightened, which... slows down Coraline's travels sometimes. Coraline is very curious toward the Pokemon, seeing it as some sort of special, newly-discovered species of insect. During her talk with Isa, it was theorized that maybe the Trapinch will evolve into a Pokemon with wings, which Coraline thinks would be ~*AMAZING*~ As for the Pokemon's name... It was provided by Heather, who claimed that Trapinch looked like a mix between a turtle and a beetle-- a turble. Coraline decided she liked the name, and it just stuck.

Details: Myshka is an energetic little thing. She's full of exuberance and is always excited for new battles and traveling to new places. Coraline really approves of the Rattata's attitude-- it's a welcome change from her Sneasel's. The Rattata enjoys showing off her enthusiasm-- the most noteworthy being her habit of... well, leaping around and scurrying in circles. Coraline believes the creature to be an ideal candidate for Mister Bobinsky's Jumping Mouse Circus, and plans on taking the critter home to show him. As such, she's taken to calling the Pokemon "Myshka" (Russian for "mouse"), mimicking how Bobinksy refers to his mice. Myshka is also a capable battler, but treats them more like games than anything-- nothing more than "play-fights".

Details: This oddball acts... a bit more like a dog than a bat. He is outwardly friendly, and instantly became very attached to Coraline, following her around Route 30 until she finally decided to capture him. The blue fur and the bat wings remind her of the bat-dogs from the world behind the wallpaper, which... she actually doesn't mind much (those dog-bats did technically help her more than they hindered her in her quest, despite how frightening they were). What does bother her... is the fact that the Zubat has no eyes. She didn't notice until capturing him, and then... was very disturbed by it. Be that as it may, the bat is a fairly good fighter, even if he can be lazy and silly... and eats like an elephant. Eh, as long as he isn't drinking her team's blood, Coraline's fine with it. The oh-so-affectionate nickname simply comes from a word used fairly often by Coraline's mother, taken to punny levels. Because Coraline is clever and thinks the name fits the oddball of a Pokemon. :|

Details: Coraline found this little critter as an egg while exploring Route 36. Unbeknownst to her, it is the offspring of Pokemon belonging to Don Paolo. Comet is, strangely enough, very different from his distant parents; he is protective of Coraline and his fellow roster-mates, with a very cautious, almost shy nature. He is surprisingly skilled in battle, despite his seeming soft-spokenness; he approaches battles with care and powerful attacks. However, he is still treated by his roster-mates as the baby of the team, which... really doesn't help his self esteem.

Details: Delivered as an egg via Dodrio, Coraline received this strange bird as a gift from Bartz after she showed interest in his Dodrio. Since hatching, the Doduo has displayed a simple behavioral problem-- the two heads... can't seem to agree on anything. They squabble constantly, fight over food, and display distinct personalities. Less of a battler and more of a cheerleader of sorts, Spink & Forcible serves mainly as Coraline's means of transportation. It-- or they-- are named after two of Coraline's neighbors-- Ms Spink and Ms Forcible, and fittingly so.

He seems cheerful enough, spending most of his time gliding around peacefully with Coraline's other Pokemon. But when Coraline herself tries to interact with her... the Surskit just STARES. It kind of creeps her out, especially considering how stupidly adorable the Pokemon is. Coraline knows it has some sort of ulterior motive. SHE JUST KNOWS.

Details: A actually belongs to Coraline's friend Raz, who traded the Pokemon to her as a Kadabra. Raz traded her off with the intention of getting to better understand A, hoping that Coraline would be able to help crack that ever-silent exterior. Coraline hasn't succeeded so far, and has only managed to get the Pokemon to evolve (via the trade). A gives her a serious case of the willies; she's unnerved by how quiet she is.

Details: Captured during the Great Bug Invasion of Johto (NEVER FORGET), Zips is... a special dragonfly. Abused and tortured since he hatched, Zips was bred for one thing: attacking and killing everything on sight. And that was exactly what he was trying to do to Coraline and her Pokemon when they encountered him! He dropped a few Selfdestructing Pinecos on the girl's head, singing some of her hair away and giving her a few nasty burns, and THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW OF THAT DAY. Just to get him to stop, Coraline captured the Yanma (after some rather impressive wrestling with it) using one of her few Great Balls.
Once the whole event was over, Coraline intended to release the Pokemon, fearful of its violent nature. Alas... the Yanma follows her from afar for some strange reason, only daring to come closer to occasionally knock her over with a Quick Attack. It's really the only way he knows how to express himself. Coraline kind of hates him for it because Quick Attacks kind of hurt, man.
