It's downloading now. I'm glad the release date came while I still had a free credit in the hopper. (What with being a thrifty New Englander and all.)

I listened to the sample first. It's good and should work well as an attention grabber. Congrats.

No problem. I have a tech question for you: What format were you reading from? I was wondering if it's a TelePrompTer-type screen, regular computer monitor size, iPad? Paper? I realized I've seen stills of people in small booths doing these recordings, but never saw the text they were reading.

Oh, they scanned the book into an Ipad, and I read from that in an audiobooth with a sound engineer to catch my every mistake. I did well he said, I do like to read my work, not all authors are that way. But I did find out it is tricky since every syllable, every word and breath is picked up and you can't stutter at all, the way one does without realizing it in real life or even when reading at a reading. I mean, suddenly stop and then, begin a word again... If I goofed up, I started again. And, I had to make sure my mouth was always wet, no mouth sounds. No throat clearing -- all of it. So it was work, lots of concentration, but fun. But yeah, we used an Ipad. It worked real well. I had my own copy of the book there just in case there was a mistake and part of the scanned copy wasn't there. And, that did happen twice, the scanner did not scan two pages, and also there were a few words on two other pages that were not scanned in. But, otherwise, worked like a dream!
