I say go for it! There's always going to be something that might hold you back -- work, losing interest -- but make this year the one in which you actually complete it. Or, I would write something a little creative every day -- somthing that you noticed on the street, or while you were lying in bed, or something someone else said. They can be descriptive or thoughts. Then, for November next year you will have a large collection of creative tidbits that you can use to help create your novel.

Did you decide to do NaNoWriMo? Because I'm in that same "frustrated novelist" category - everyone around me for years says I should get to writing a novel. It's not too late, you know.

Yes, I know its not too late. But I have so many other commitments this month (volunteer work, a charity auction, my actual job, and a husband who likes to see me when I am not sleeping...) I decided that I didn't need an additional stressor in my life right now. Maybe next year.

*sigh*

Maybe the two of us could have our own NaNo in, say, March? *laugh*

Sure, because I'm already on day four and can't figure out if I need to know where to start or if I should just jump in and hope I figure out some order for all these chapters later. It might take me until March... sadly.

P.S. I friended you - I enjoy your writing style and what you have to say.

I've friended you as well. I am finding your journal to be interesting, enlightening and entertaining - what more could I ask? *grin*
