Hoo yeah. SAT II scores are back. My initial thoughts of a 560 on my Chinese were put out of my mind when I saw my score. 780! Yeah, that's out of 800 since I only took one test

I took Chinese with Listening. Yeah, are you class of 2006? I have to do it too! But at least I slid by the SAT II without an essay. But it starts in spring of 2005 (essay on SAT), what if we chose to take it winter of 2004? But then there's only one shot if you don't want to do the essay. Besides, the first time they implement it, the test won't be perfect. I don't want to be the guinea pig! The mistakes will most likely not work in my favor...
I'm actually class of 2007, so I won't be taking in winter of 2004, unless I feel like taking it as a freshman... which won't happen. Because I'd fail. (I actually know someone that got a 1400 on the SATs when he was in sixth grade. He's freaky smart.)
I'll probably take it sometime in 2005 or 2006. I want to apply early decision to Stanford, so I'm assuming I have to take the SATs before I send out the application. Or at least I think I have to. (And sending out the application is in something like September/October 2006.)
Basically, I'll be writing some essays for the SAT I exams. I'm not too worried though, since my English teacher this year is making us write in-class essays in 37 minutes and I'm learning to write better under pressure like that. Huh. Never thought I'd sound grateful for those in-class essays.
Wow, you already know you want to apply to early decision at Stanford? Meh, I was thinking Stanford or UPenn, but it's all quite tentative. Maybe I'm just too whimsical.
Stanford? Don't go to Stanford. It's nice, but overrated. Maybe I just say that because I live twenty minutes away. The percentile score is out of people who took that test. Most people who take it are native speakers, so people tend to do well. Thus, you get a high score but low percentile. Odd, eh? I'll stick to my US History score. Hehehe.
Ewww, *hopes deflate*. I really am 41st percentile. The sad thing is, I am a native speaker. Except I've been better at English since age 6. Ah well. 'Tis okay.

They're adding essay writing to the SAT I by the time my junior year comes around. Which sucks. Ick.
