Where do you live? You said not close to Osaka but that's currently the only one I know of. http://www.raddiestheosaka.com/ I went for an eyebrow wax, she's nice. It's right beside Universal Studios Japan so you could make a day of it.

Thanks, I'll save the link for future reference! :)
Osaka is not too far, but I can't go more than every second month, I guess.
For now; I ordered this (https://www.bipartners.jp/eshop/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=130&Itemid=49&promoId=promo001&categoryCode=:001:001&item_no=00110000000003) not sure if I can do it myself, but I'll try.

I know I have at least more than one head, but I need to check. Thanks for the advice!
I'm just a bit worried to use my epilator on my arms as my legs looked so horrible after using it (even now one year later) ....

I know this doesn't answer your question about where to find a salon that does waxing, but... Are you against the idea of getting laser treatments? In my experience, it's much less painful than waxing, and from what I hear (I've never gotten waxed in Japan, though I used to in Canada) waxing is pretty expensive here anyway, so to me it's worth the price to have the hair just gradually not come back. I go to Shonan Beauty Clinic for laser treatments and have had very satisfying results, especially for my bikini line and underarms (I get my legs done, too). I'm in Tokyo, but they have some clinics in the Kansai area as well: http://www.s-b-c.net/clinic/clinic_selection.html And of course, there are plenty of other beauty clinics that offer laser hair removal.

I tried electrolysis when I was younger. It was expensive and painful, but my hair came back again and again. It didn't work.
Laster treatments are not for everybody. Also, nobody knows about the long-term effects on us as it's a relatively new technique, right?
Thanks!

I second the laser treatments. I took advantage of the underarm laser removal until it is gone for only one payment plan that they had a couple of years back at Muse Platinum (which I think might be nationwide but not sure) and now barely anything grows. Probably one more session and it should be gone for good. Other body parts are more expensive but well worth the price when you think that it is permanent.

I also use Veet on my arms and it works well but I think it does depend on the thickness and type of the hair.

Veet wax or cream? :)

I probably won't be long enough in Japan anymore to see the treatments through. I've been here for 5 years already.

Ah, in that case then short term methods are probably best.

I have used the veet cream. And while it worked great on me it didn't work at all on my boyfriend, so I think it's hit or miss.

Actually I bought one of these: http://www.moom-japan.com/product.html

Works great! A bit expensive as I used almost one whole jar for my arms, but professional waxing would have been just as expensive if not worse!
