F-first impressions meme, since I made it to 1000 this morning! Comment here, I'll tell you what Edward thinks of you.
...Hell, you can ask for Chiaki too, if you want, since she's. uh. going a lot more slowly. ^^;;

Edward likes Rabi, on first meeting him. He knows a lot of stuff and he's happy to share it, and Edward's really having a good time learning things in camp, so that's awesome! And he already knows that Rabi is helping Capell out, and anyone being nice to Capell gets a bonus in his book. Okay also Rabi is a little spazzy! But that's okay. ^_^

(Also Chiaki re: Morrolan.)

I mean um.
Just about everything I said when Stiaan hit 1000 still holds true! Only now Edward has figured out that he can have a crush on a guy, and oh boy does he ever. Stiaan is all...kind to him and fascinating and gorgeous and and and. He can't quite process the 4000-years-old thing, which I think he's mostly dealing with by...not thinking about it very hard! It's easy to be distracted around Stiaan anyway.
Right now, also, he's just found out that Christmas means exchanging presents, and he's deeply intimidated by the prospect of trying to come up with a gift for someone who can make a house just by wanting one. >:
Chiaki admires Morrolan, mostly. She thinks it's silly for him to want to protect people who suck, but on the other hand he killed her with a lot of style and elegance, which is hot. Strength and beauty are the two things she prizes most highly, and he has plenty of both. If she ever did get the chance to re-make the destroyed world, she'd want him in it.

Morrolan...understands Chiaki a little better now that they've had that haiku conversation. He obviously fundamentally disagrees with her worldview, but he gets a little bit why she holds it -- her gods failed her, after all. So he'll happily converse civilly with her, and just as happily smack her down if she goes after anyone under his protection.

I suspect that Chiaki will be perfectly willing to leave people alone if she knows that Morrolan's claimed them, because getting in fights she has no chance of winning is just stupid. She...might enjoy a chance to argue philosophy with him at some point, though. ♥

For the puppy and princess, I believe. o/

Edward thinks Takemoto is a really nice guy, and thinks he should have more confidence than he does! He's fascinated by the differences between their worlds, but he feels a little awkward about that because it seems to make Takemoto in awe of things that he thinks are...not that special? so yeah.
Ashe is a lot easier for him to relate to, though it's a kind of relationship that's not likely to become close. She introduced herself as a princess! He knows how you're supposed to relate to royalty. And then she went on to be clearly motivated and powerful, which are both things that ping his loyal-knight instincts (Vossler at 17 could easily have been a lot like Edward, I swear. they even have the same sword style).
...He has some kind of awkward issues about gender (sob the women in my canon), where he's pretty sure there are two kinds of girls: the ones who make no sense, and the ones who are warriors. Ashe fits into the second category in his head, so he respects her.

Edward is still just so happy that Capell is here, and okay, and not angry at the entire world. He likes living together, occasional moments of incredible physical awkwardness aside, and he's glad they've had the chance to just, you know, hang out and be friends together.
He's also working really hard on ignoring any attraction he feels toward Capell, because he knows that Capell likes girls, and why wreck a good friendship by complicating it like that?
...also lately Capell is really pushing his "needs protecting" buttons, especially after the petting zoo thread. woobins. must take care of. :<

Honestly, Capell likes people, and is not terribly good at telling the difference between the varying degrees of like. He just knows that, well, that's what you do with girls, right?
God he needs some female friends who aren't from his canon.

Their conversations are most likely always going to include some lighthearted ribbing and questioning of each other's moral imperatives, but Brook really doesn't see the need to stand up and fight for what does not NEED to be defended with all he has. She's good conversation-material and a pleasant enough acquaintance, but her ideals and his couldn't be more opposite. Which means he doesn't like her as much as he usually likes people he meets here.
