[ Hibari is a ridiculously light sleeper, to the point where a falling leaf on the rooftop can disturb his sleep. No matter how quiet a person's trying to be, he can probably still hear them. The first night he heard the lightest of thumps on the ceiling, he chalked it up to some small animal. The second, an annoying coincidence.
But after the third? He's decided to set up post on the rooftop and wait to get to the bottom of this. He really hates it when his sleep is interrupted. ]

[He might spot a silhouette a few blocks farther down standing on a particularly tall telephone pole.
If he has good eyesight he can tell with the faint lamppost/moonlight that it's a woman in black robes. She's not coming this way yet, though; looks like she's still surveying the area over there, though she may be heading towards his direction in a bit.
[ It takes a bit of squinting, but he can barely see the figure in the distance. Slowly and quietly as he can, he starts moving towards her, using the rooftops to cross the distance.
But Hibari is only human, and jumping roofs is pretty difficult to manage along with stealth, so she can probably hear him approaching if she's listening for it. ]
[Being used to doing this every night, Ciel can. Half of her wants to bolt for it and come back later; she doesn't need the attention when all she's doing out at this time is to make sure that there's no trouble in the streets. Old habits die hard, let's say.
She will, however, NOT have a human with lesser physical potential accidentally break his neck by trying to follow her. So against her sense of professionalism and duty, she swallows a sigh, and after watching him trying to catch up for a second, will continue on her originally intended patrol route, and go meet with him instead. Quickly crossing the distance with no trouble, she'll opt for the poles instead of houses this time, and land back onto a roof that might've been Hibari's next destination before addressing him directly.]
Please be careful. If you are unsure of your footing, it would be easy to fall from such a height. [There's a lightly chiding undertone to her words.]
[Aisling is about to drift off while in her small house in the backyard when she hears a noise on the roof; not her roof, but the main house's. She immediately rushes out and shimmies up the drainpipe to see if the source of the noise is still there.]
[The figure is now on another house, though it notices the quick movements that Aisling made to reach a similar altitude, and pauses.
The distance wasn't that far, so they can probably fully see each other. Her supernatural senses might be dulled, but Ciel can still tell that this child isn't human, and Aisling can probably note in turn her clerical robes and general features, as well as the fact that she's barehanded.
...Well, it wasn't her intent to wake anyone, and this girl looked simply curious. ...Maybe she should move away again and be more careful? Intuition tells her that Aisling is unlikely to give pursuit, and Ciel could also avoid unnecessary questioning - unless the smaller girl actually says something to stop her.]
[Aisling takes note of the figure on the other roof, and she freezes up a little bit when she sees the robes. The church has never been that friendly towards her kind...still, there was only one way to find out what that person was doing. So she calls out.]
There's no point running away now. While Ciel's aware that Aisling might not appear her physical age, there's no reason to not put on a better face that would be capable of calming down any child.
So the cold expression smoothly changes into a kind - and apologetic, even - smile.]
Ah... I'm taking a look around town to make sure that the streets are safe. I'm sorry for waking you, miss.
[ Veser actually isn't one to hang around the house as of late, one drone was annoying enough but now that his "wife" has been droned it's become twice as annoying. So he'll be opening to the door to leave, pausing and staring at the unfamiliar woman on the porch. ]
[If he's grumpy, the smile that she offers is still energetic and cheerful.] Good afternoon! Mr. Hatch, correct? Yes, I'd like to discuss something with you concerning an event that's coming up next week. May I have a moment of your time, please?
I am a good friend of your 'son' here, Tohno Shiki, and it will be his birthday next Thursday. For the occasion, I would like to organize something here without his knowing, with the help of a few other friends of his from his world. [Fancier and more polite way of saying "I'd like to throw him a surprise party at your house c:".] May I have your permission for that then, Mr. Veser?
[Crawford wanted them to behave. Crawford needed them to behave. But after the events at the Smith household, Farfarello -needed- to feel in control of something, needed a chance to be back on his feet and serving a purpose again. With Schwarz doing its usual biding of time, there was only one other purpose Farfarello had. He strode into the church boldly, looking around to see who was there.]
[There is a woman with dark blue hair by the front, and she closes the Bible that she seemed to be perusing, when Farfarello entered the Church.
Her demeanor is calm - soothing, almost, but she can already feel that there's something about the man that just entered that demanded caution. If she tensed herself, however, it would be impossible to tell.]
Good afternoon, sir. Is there a service that you would like to request, from the Church?
[He headed over to the woman, his presence would be intimidating to someone who was -merely- what Ciel appeared to be at first glance, though the very fact that she wasn't tensing tipped him off that she might well be far more than she appeared.]
I have some questions about the faith... [There is a distinctly ominous and somewhat threatening tone in his voice.]
The Burial Agency was definitely not the most faithful branch of the Church. After all, this was a part of it that does not exorcise evil: no, they simply kill it. Having her abilities sealed did not stop from from being capable of giving basic services, however, which is the reason why she first approached the drone priest and offered her help. He accepted it gladly without much resistance.
But as for her own faith? Well.
She stands her ground. In fact, she actually sounds easygoing, and is smiling lightly.]
Is that so? I am just a mere nun who assists the local priest with his services. He would be the better one to ask, though he is absent at the moment. He should return shortly, but if you are willing to take my words instead, then I shall do my best to act as an adequate substitute. May I at least have your name in that case, sir...?
[Margarita had been lurking around the post office for some time since night fell, trying to make up her mind whether to go inside or not. If anyone watching could make out her expression in the darkness, there would be no mistaking the guilt and shame and ugly selfishness scribbled all over her face.]
Well. That would require more direct intervention, especially if this girl doesn't know the full story behind the building, and just how much she could risk.
Ciel lands a few dozen feet onto the ground from behind Margarita. She has no harmful intentions, after all, and would like to avoid startling the other girl -at least not too badly, if she can help it.]
Are you certain that this would be a wise choice, miss?
[She jumps all the same; she knows very well she's on the verge of doing something not only stupid, but dangerous. Still, her first instinct is to lie- an old habit.]
I-I'm just standing here! There's no law against that the last time I checked, even in this place.
i see nothing wrong 8|bexpiatriceOctober 8 2010, 04:59:22 UTC
[Ah, that type of person.
She plays along.] Is that so? In front of the post office would still remain to be a peculiar spot to stand on. If you speak of laws, however, there is none that forbids you from entering the office, either. It is simply a highly inadvisable course of action. Do you know why that is, miss?
