Have you ever seen a train wreck unfold before your eyes? I mean that in the emotional sense. Well, a couple of days ago my mother called and said, "Now, S-..." That's how all terrible conversations start. There are clue words like "Now..., Listen..., I love you..." Okay, maybe not the last, but that can certainly lead to some dangerous waters...

That's what I recall of the Bible passages, but religion denotes a lack of logic. I just know that a shit-storm will shortly follow. *hugs*

i agree with you on many hinted notes here --> organized religion does tend cause a certain amount of anxiousness and superstition in even the brightest mind!
i guess all i can offer/say is u know, maybe, be careful not to get too angry with your folks for their persistence/nervousness. u know, our parents cannot help how they themselves were raised, right? and..especially once they've passed a certain age in life ;)
