Lasting Effects

I spent 20 minutes on the phone with my mom last night. I can't help but sigh and wonder what I did in a past life to warrant the relationship I have with my mother. There's love there, yes, but it's bound by frustration, confusion and hurt. Is that every parent-child relationship, I wonder? Which of course makes me wonder how badly I will conflict

oh, moms! i think moms can be a little neurotic when it comes to their daughters. especially, if said daughter is an only daughter :/ are you an only-daughter? i am - oh joys *sarcasm**

maybe your mom is plagued by excessive worrying for you and that's why she cannot communicate herself in a more relaxed fashion? i dunno - some women can fall victim to the worrying game u know, hence the term worrywart LOL

when my mom is on the brink of stressing me out, i just pretend my mom is old and senile. then . . . i am a lot more patient with her and much more gentle with her than i might otherwise be :D ha!
