He then falls in love with Delilah at the Brook of Sorek. The Philistines approach Delilah and induce her to try to find the secret of Samson's strength. what don't you understand? his parents were told at samson's birth he would lose all his strength if his hair was cut. so delilah is sent to find out what his weakness is, and he tricks her three times. finally, he tells her what will make him lose his strength, and it's his hair being cut. he was basically their main defense, which is why he was so important.

This is the part I don't understand.
Samson: If I lose my hair I lose my strength and die oh no!
Delilah: Haha sweetie, I love you tell me everything about you.
Samson: Bind me with bowstrings and I'm weak as any man.
Delilah: *binds him with bowstrings* Holy crap guys!
Samson: *breaks bows*

2 nights later

Samson: LOLz cut my hair yo.
Delilah: Snip.

What the hell. I get the "he loved her" part, but if you know somebody is trying to kill you, you generally don't tell them your weakness unless you want to die.
