Over the last month or so, I have been particularly obsessive with listening and learning about music. I find myself being consumed with it at all moments of the day. I just saw The Dead Milkmen last night. My favorite band as a kid. They played their only reunion show last night at FunFunFunFest in Austin. Rose and I have been traveling through Mexico, particularly in the state of Oaxaca, for the past week. I don´t know if I even want to return back home. We´re having a great time, seeing wonderful places, eating incredible meals, and meeting the nicest people along the way. A couple nights ago, I decided I would go to Waterloo Records and pick up a couple CD's, since I haven't gone record shopping in weeks. The trash in the apartment was full, so I picked it up and took it to the dumpster downstairs before I left to the record shop. -Our neighborhood is wonderful. I'm so used to living in the suburbs and having to drive 30-45 minutes to do anything worthwhile, so getting to live in a big city with lots of interesting things going on all the time, within walking distance is just terribly exciting to me.
