So, there's a new theological thought circulating that is trying to bring certain Wiccan ideology into Christianity and I wanted the community's thoughts therein, if you would indulge me.
The thought is that the Holy Spirit is the Christian depiction of the goddess and the female aspect of the Trinity. The idea comes from scriptures, including "The Wisdm of Solomon. In addition, Chapter 24 of Ecclesiasticus speaks warmly of Lady Wisdom or Sophia; verse 9 tells of Her creation: “He created me from the beginning before the world, and I shall never fail.”
Verse 18 states Her position as the helpmate of the Creator:
"I am the Mother of fair love, of fear, and knowledge,
and holy hope: I therefore, being eternal, am given
to all my children, which are named by Him."
Proverbs 3:13-19 reveals Lady Wisdom's :
"Happy is the man that findeth Wisdom, and the man
that getteth understanding: for the merchandise of
it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain
thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies;
and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared
Of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand, riches
and honor. Her ways are pleasantness and all her paths
are peace. She is a Tree of Life to them that lay hold upon
her; and happy is everyone that retaineth her. The lord by
Wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding hath he
established the heavens.” source =

In our experience, most Christopagans revere Jesus and believe that his teachings are loving and beneficial to the world and are in no way in opposition to the principles of Paganism."
Can this be done? That's the question. Does one really need to speak to angels when one has a direct line to the big guy himself? Can we not assume that ChristoPagans are not following God at all, but the Enemy?
Also, some have asssumed that Mary is in fact the goddess. Which in a way makes sense. The idea that the goddess becomes pregnant by and then gived birth to the god kinda goes with the idea of becoming pregant by the Holy Spirit and then giving birth to Christ, ie the human manifestation of God. So, can we call Catholics ChristoPagans, as they pray to Mary? There's a sticky one for you.
((I'm not saying Catholics are Pagan, please take no offence if you are Catholic, this is just the way the logic in my mind runs. These are questions that I'm sure others have asked, I'm just writing what runs through my head as soon as it does so. I have nothing against Catholics and do not mean to offend any of you.))
Although, the Bible does say to stear clear of all manifestations of Witchcraft, so how can one do both?
This is my question to you, and I would love to have your thoughts on the matter.
