Facility Members
Vaarsuvius is new to the facility, but that doesn't mean s/he doesn't have opinions about the people s/he's met so far. This is an in-character write-up of V's mental notes on everyone.
Friends:
I have not known anyone long enough to truly consider them a 'friend', though I can tentatively visualize becoming friends with some of the people I have encountered here. For now, I am not giving the label to anyone, especially since I have only met people through these communicators.
Friendlies
Darc
* I find this particular person to be quite pleasant to speak with. He is inquisitive and understands my desire for privacy enough to cease questioning me once I ask him to. He seemed very uncomfortable about accidentally telling me he was a hybrid. I don't understand his concern, but seeing as I myself sometimes have reservations that others do not understand, I do not mind respecting his wishes and not mentioning it to anyone. (Though I must say--his arm and scales looked fascinating.) Also, although I am not the best judge, I suspect his social skills are underdeveloped, which would explain why I get along with him.
As it stands, he has offered to teach me a little about self-defense, which while a very useful skill under these circumstances, I am a little tentative about. I find the fact that I, a wizard, need to learn about such base forms of combat to be shaming, but he has not ridiculed me and I have to learn to put my pride aside for my survival's sake. (Though if he actually makes me capable of protecting myself without magic, I will be more than impressed.) He is closest to being considered a friend out of any of the people I have encountered, but I am going to wait and observe before I commit any kind of label to him.
I note that I am bonding unusually fast with him. I suspect that my social interactions are being influenced by recent events and the loss of my familiar. I must be cautious in my dealings with him.
* His shadow revealed some awkward information about him, and seeing as my shadow seemed to have a habit of doing something similar, I understood how upsetting it was. I decided it would be a good distraction if he were to attempt to begin teaching me about fighting, which seemed to calm him down. Of course, my shadow decided that would be a good point to attempt to murder us both. He saved my life at least twice and I saved him once when my shadow was about to disintegrate him. He helped me kill the shadow, walked me to my room despite his obvious discomfort and did not question me about the very personal information my shadow shared. I believe I will be ready to consider him my friend soon.
My shadow went out of its way to not harm him, only once actually preparing a spell that could cause damage against him. Interesting. Remain cautious.
Yujinn
Yujinn was very affable during our first encounter and says he was a magic tutor in his own universe, so our mutual desires to learn about magic has given us ground to bond over. I do not know him that well, however, so I am keeping an eye on him.

This individual went out of his way to be condescending, abrasive, and offensive during our first encounter. I am tempted to regress and set a trap for him.

I do not know this person's name, but she was kind and upfront when I first came, so I hold no negative feelings for her.
Sollux
He was interesting to speak with, but difficult and abrasive, so it was a challenge to develop friendly feelings for him. I am suspending judgment as he did not go out of his way to be unpleasant and gave me valuable information.
Rose Lalonde
She seems to be an interesting young lady, but our conversation was brief, so I do not have much of an impression of her.

I do not know this person's name either, but he offered to help me combat my shadow double for an unnamed price. Yet while he is helping me, I cannot trust him. I am definitely going to keep my eye on him.
