*raises hand about the unobservant thing*
I would say you have to be about as unobservant as me ^_~ I mean, come on, this year I almost forgot my _own_ birthday, rofl. Not to mention I spent an entire week back in Sept. unsure of what age I was. I finally had to ask Charles.
But happy belated birthday. People forgetting just means you're getting old ;) I had to have that explained to me as well a few years back. I was griping about it and my mom was like "What do you want, a party and balloons?" And I was like "YES!" I personally don't think age should change how we celebrate our birthdays but I am apparantly in the monority. Of course I'm still happy that I'm getting older. I may change my mind after, oh, 29-ish.

*sigh* I don't really know. I think it's because it's a number. But one day i was thinking about something in relation to age and getting old and I was like "Man, and I'm like 23.... or am 24... wait, 25? No, I think I'm 24... or am I?"
And then i got myself _so_ confused that I couldn't figure it out at all. And I tried to do the math to figure my age out from my birthdate, but I wasn't sure I could trust my math. So finally one night when i was talking to Charles, I was like "Um, hon? How old are we?" Oh man did he laugh at me...

I forget my family's birthdays (regularly), so you're in good company as far as they are conserned. However, Happy B-day.
Also, the Tn senate race is the 4th most watched in the country, and I fully agree with you. One of the candidates is insanly rich and has spent an obscene amount on smear ads. It's so bad that his opponent even mention that there was a better way to spend his money than on lies about him. That's the worst part too, the ads are mostly untrue. I've been doing my research. He's just hoping that people will trust the ads instead of looking into the matter. It makes me mad.
