Photoshop CS2

->

1. Layer -> New adjustment layer -> Photofiltre. Use this filtre to make the image look 'cooler':


This will eliminate the orangy glow that the overall picture has


2. To get some blue and yellow into the picture I'll use curves (Layer -> New adjustment layer -> curves). Make a curve that resembles this one

3. 3 selectove color layers to enhance the colors. (Layer -> New adjustment layer -> Selective Color)

LAYER 1
Reds: -100 0 0 0
Yellows: 0 0 100 0
Whites: 0 -20 0 0


LAYER 2
Reds: -100 0 0 0
Yellows: 0 0 100 0
Neutrals: 10 0 -20 0


LAYER 3
Reds: -50 0 0 0
Whites: 0 -50 0 0


4. Layer -> New adjustment layer -> channel mixer. Only change the red output channel to get a blue shine on the icon.

TEXTURES
Here are some textures I used to create this batch

The textures were set on darken. The colors of some of the textures were edited by going to image -> adjustments -> hue/saturation. Play around with the hue slider.
