Reunion

Summary: Al, confused by how and why he's on this mysterious train, goes to find some answers...and ends up finding a few baffling ones.

Opening the door to see who was there, he figured it was probably the Conductor again, coming over with something else to say. It took him a while to get over there, due mostly to a lack of general enthusiasm, but once he did, he froze with shock when he saw the face greeting him.

"...Al?"

Alphonse stared at Ed's legs. Mostly because, well, he expected to see an Edward who was only a few inches taller than he was. Carefully, he began to look upwards until his eyes met his much older brother.

"Ed..?" He studied the man before him a bit. Other than being taller, his hair was longer and he was dressed very differently to what he was used to. "Is that you?"

"It really is you, isn't it?" He wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but it was definitely something he needed to know more about. "But why are you... so young?"

"Why am I so young? Why are you so old?" Al demonstrated his point by lifting a finger up and down his body. "What happened, Brother? What went wrong?"
