Wandering down the street, Ran had her head bowed and both her hands in their respective coat pockets. The night was particularly chilly, so she was attempting to stay somewhat warm amidst the cold breeze. She could have stayed on the train, but she decided that a brisk walk and maybe a quick peek at the fireworks would be a better way to spend her time.

What a year this had been, she thought with a mental sigh. Even now, she still felt out of place on the Valkyrie Express. She couldn't even get close to Kanji or any of the others, mostly out of leftover guilt. It didn't help that she had altercations with Edward or that she accidentally hurt Kuhn's feelings. "What's wrong with me?" She asked, looking up at the crescent moon above.

Aang was wandering by himself as well, looking for a good spot where he could sit and watch the show (he hadn't seen fireworks since his last visit to the Fire Nation with Kuzon, and so the idea made him simultaneously excited and nostalgic). After having been out for about ten minutes, he happened to see Miranda, standing by herself on the other side of the street.

She looked lonely. Did she want company, or did she just want to be by herself? There's only one way to find out, he figured, and so he picked up his pace, jogging up to her. "Hey, Miranda!"

That was a name she hadn't heard in a while. Likewise with the voice.

Smiling a bit, she turned to the boy. "Hey. It's been a while... Did you arrive here or..." Did he live on the train? She hadn't really seen him around, so if he did, they must have kept missing each other.

"I came on the, uh, train. You did too, right?" Aang had seen her from a distance a few times-- like during the Christmas party-- but had never gotten a chance to say hi.
