Alphonse wandered into the cart, suddenly feeling hungry upon taking a whiff of the confections around him. Putting on a grin, he went over to the table and took some cookies for himself. He took a bite and looked around, hoping to see a familiar face. Also, he wondered just what the occasion was.

Kanji was already there, as if drawn instinctively to the sugary atmosphere. He seemed to be chewing on a bite of a cupcake with red frosting and white, heart-shaped sprinkles, given that he was holding it and there was a good half of the treat missing.

Unfortunately, he noticed that the place was getting less private and a little kid was snooping around. This ended up making him nervous, causing him to awkwardly choke on the cupcake, coughing a bit.

The choking caused him to look up and see the man having some trouble swallowing his food. Briskly, he wandered over, concerned for his well being. "Are you okay?" Al asked.

It wasn't too long before he recovered from that and responded. "I'm alright..."

However, he was embarrassed when he realized who was speaking to him. Now he had the kid's full attention, it seemed. "...Wh-what're you lookin' at?"

One of the best things about living on the Valkyrie Express was that (for the most part) no one really tried to tell Rose what to do. At home she had a bit more free reign than most kids her age did, but Saffy especially would often try to regulate things like her eating habits and her bedtime. Here, she could do pretty much anything she wanted-- including going down the dessert line at the Valentine's party and taking at least one of everything.

Life was good.

Approaching the lone little girl, Alex figured it would be a good idea to keep her company. Despite things being lax around here when it came to child supervision, she took it upon herself to somewhat keep a vigil when she saw children around. "Hello. How are you?"

Rose turned around, then gave a little wave of recognition; she remembered her from the Thanksgiving party. "Hello!"

Cookies, check. Slice of cake, check. Chocolate mousse-- well, he was getting to that. A strangely serene-looking Yuri piled dessert onto a plate, watching the other passengers silently. To anyone that knew Yuri well, it was obvious that something was different about him: though it was hard to say whether it was the smiling or the relaxed posture that spoke most of the change.

Cramming a few heart-shaped chocolates onto the side of his plate, he made his way across the cart to stand by the wall.

Like a bloodhound, she sniffed around for clues. Clues to what, you may ask? Well, she simply wanted to see where the delicious smell of chocolates was coming from and, to her delight, it was a feast inside the dining cart. Running inside, she decided to grab a plate. She had been craving sweets for a while and wanted to eat enough to satisfy her appetite.

As she picked out some, she bumped into Yuri. "Hi there!"

"Hey," He sounded both annoyed and-- confused? Why was this girl acting like she knew him? He'd never seen her before. Looking away, he tried his best to ignore her and enjoy one of his cookies.

He seemed upset. Probably because of that curse...

Still, she decided to put on a smile for him. It was a holiday and she wanted him to cheer up. "I'm glad to have some chocolate. I wonder if there's white chocolate here."
