The conductor hadn't been very active around the train recently. For a long while, she had been distant from most of the passengers. She was beginning to wonder if she was cut out for this role. So far, she had done poorly in averting disasters on board and was feeling guilty over her failure.

Currently, she sat in the lounge outside her room, sipping some tea and flipping through a book she had borrowed.

Buguese didn't expect her not to notice him. That was fine, because he wanted to face her anyway. Still, for the time being, he decided to enter and quietly look around.

Looking up from the book, she smiled when her eyes met Buguese's. "Hello, Buguese. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Yes," he replied. he had his weapon with him as always, in case it was necessary, but for now he would have to keep as unsuspicious as possible.
