Laughter was the best medicine? Well, this was no laughing matter to Ben Tennyson. He found himself in the middle of the room, looking around with a confused look on his face. When did he board this train again? Kevin and Gwen were going to kill him for ditching them abruptly like that to...be here.

He decided to take a walk to the opposite side of the lounge, heading toward the television. Trains usually didn't have one, but maybe this was a fancy kind that rich people took? If so, he hoped he wouldn't get caught, since he probably couldn't afford any of this. Plopping down in front of it, he stared at the random show that was on.

Confused, as usual, Masako was pacing around the lounge. So she was on a train why? The harder she thought about it, the worse her headache was getting, but certainly something was wrong. She decided to sit down and at least make herself comfortable until the train stopped somewhere. There was a kid there too. Maybe he had a better idea than her.

"So, boy..." she began. "Watching anything good?"

He turned to her, a little relieved that someone had taken the time to acknowledge his existance. "Not really. It's a cheesy sitcom, I think." Ben grinned a little. "I'm Ben Tennyson."

"I see," she responded. She didn't watch much tv anyway, so it didn't really matter to her.

"Ben Tennyson... So I don't suppose you know what's going on here?" She didn't sound too hopeful about it.

Looking around at his surroundings, he didn't seem to be reacting with much passion. In fact, his expression was mostly one of befuddlement and general disregard. In other words, he was just blankly moving his head around with no visible goal in mind.

Eventually, he began to slowly wander towards the chairs, perhaps picking out which one might be the best to sit in. Maybe he was just really uncomfortable with the sudden change of scenery he must have experienced recently?

Mamimi sat in the corner of the lounge, right near of the tables in the back. She didn't look particularly distressed or confused about the current situation. In fact, she emitted an air of vapidness. There was a handmade cigarette hanging out of her mouth, its heat was about ready to die out completely. There wasn't a 'no smoking' sign anywhere, not that it would deter her.

She could have sworn she remembered coming on board a train, but she wasn't sure if this was the right one.

He noticed this pretty cool girl in the back, not far from where he was standing now. She actually seemed a lot different from everyone else who was around. Could it have been the fact that she didn't appear confused about what was going on?

At any rate, he decided she might be the one to ask. He approached her and attempted to begin conversation. "Hey. My name is Abed. I just showed up here and have no idea what's going on, but it looks like you've been able to keep your cool. You are?"

His voice caused her to look up. "I'm Mamimi." She didn't look particularly interested in conversation.

What a miserable place. Absolutely horrid. Karkat stood with his arms crossed, surveying the cart. There was uncomfortable looking seating, an uncomfortable amount of humans, and the viewbox in the corner was playing some sort of uncomfortable, uncomprehensable drivel. Needless to say, he was uncomfortable.

Good god that uncomprehensable drivel is batshit annoying.

This was certainly the most uncomfortable Cisqua could remember feeling in quite some time as well, but despite being somewhat disoriented for some reason and having no idea where she was, there were quite a number of people around whom she did not know. Therefore, she had to keep up appearances!

That meant socializing in a professional yet cheerful manner, so it was time to pick someone to talk to. Cisqua quickly targeted a young boy with... interesting features. She figured he must have had a variety of interests such that they might be able to have a short conversation about something in common.

"Hello, there!" She approached him with a simple greeting.

Oh, look. One of the female humans decided to grace him with their presence. How courteous of them.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT? I'M A LITTLE BUSY STANDING HERE BEING VERY AGITATED WITH THE SITUATION, AND YOU'RE NOT HELPING."

Karkat supposed he probably should have been nicer, but he was in a pretty foul mood.

That was not quite the response she expected, considering how kind and diplomatic she was being. However, she was sure it was mostly rooted in anger and confusion about the bizarre circumstances they were all in, so she tried again.

"Well, it is rather strange what's going on here. I had no prior intention of being here myself, and I'm even willing to assume that the same goes for everyone else."

Off to the side, Ran sat at one of the tables near the door leading into convenience cart. She was fiddling with her PSP, playing some Cooking Mama Deluxe. Although she appeared indifferent, she was actually rather agitated. Right now she wanted to remain alone, despite being in a room full of people.

After surveying the lounge for a few minutes in hopes that everyone would mingle, the conductor set her eyes on one particular person who was keeping a bit too much to herself. With a few swift steps, it wasn't long before they were within speaking distance.

"Ran, do you plan on just sitting here the entire time?" The Conductor's tone may have been slightly critical at the time.

Glaring at the conductor, Ran spat, "Yeah. I do."

"That is very unfortunate." She recoiled just a bit at the girl's harsh response. "I was hoping that after everything we've gone through, you might be more open to me."

Aang took to a corner, twirling his staff nervously. Normally in a big group of people like this he'd be milling around making friends, but this was no ordinary get-together-- he had no idea how he had gotten here, and he had a feeling nobody else did, either. If this was a Fire Nation plot, it was a strange one.

Leaning against the wall a little, he looked around, trying to catch the eye of someone who wasn't already deep in conversation. Maybe somebody here could give him some answers.

Like Aang, Alphonse was feeling extremely apprehensive. The last thing he remembered was being pulled away from his home after the failed transmutation, so he was confused as how he ended up in this place after that.

Since he was the only person around his own age there, he felt more comfortable approaching him. "Excuse me?"

"Huh?" Aang was startled for a second-- he had been focused on the other side of the room, and hadn't even noticed Alphonse approaching. "Oh! Hi." He released his grip on his staff a little-- after all, this guy was just a kid like him. "Uh, my name's Aang. I guess you're stuck here too, huh?"

A worried smile formed as he wondered just where he was and why he was on a train, of all places. In fact, perhaps, he wasn't even alive anymore. Still, he tried to set those thoughts aside for a little while.

"Yeah. I take it you were brought on here as well?" asked Al, taking note of Aang's attire. He'd never seen anyone wear clothes like that before.
