"I guess it's Valentine's Day today." Ben uttered aloud, the calendar on the wall confirming his theory. Shrugging, he headed to the table to begin picking up some food.
He might as well, right? Free food was free food, after all.

Seeing a boy nearby that she didn't recognize, she gave him a hearty "Hello!" as she moved down the table.

"Teddie loves parties!!! Oh, and this song! You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby!"
Of course, the image would not be complete without a dorky dance, and somehow coincidentally, it happened to be something very similar to the music video to the very song he was listening to.

She knew he was around, but hadn't had a chance to talk to him yet. Once she saw him spinning 'right round' like he was, she knew she had to intervene before he ended up destroying the cart. "You're going to break something, most likely your head."

"I don't see why you would say that. My dancing moves are 'fresh, homes.' Fresh moves like the ones yours truly can do could never bring harm to my precious head."
As he was saying this, his hands made contact with one of the plates full of sweets, making its contents fly everywhere.

Loitering by a wall, {...}'s face was as blank as ever, standing stiff and unmoving. Even if he was apathetic towards the holiday itself, he liked how it was gathering people together. Something about being around people like this, happy people... it made him feel fulfilled.

Looking about, she tried to find some schmuck she could use for that purpose. Some attractive armcandy might help improve her image around the train. Nearby, there was some weirdo that at least didn't look too bad. Stomping toward him, she yelled, "HEY! YOU!"

Unfortunately, she felt awkward just going up and asking someone. Seeing how little explanation there was, she figured it must be common knowledge around here.
She eventually wound up near the sweets, and decided she might as well take a few samples for now. "Well, they have some nice cookies, at least!" She picked one up and inspected it curiously.

Groaning, she lifted her head up, contemplating whether to retreat to her room or stay.

Holding a paper plate with some sweets she collected, Cisqua walked over to where the bespectacled girl was sitting. She attempted to strike up a conversation with her usual smile and etiquette, and hoped that bringing snacks might boost her chances.
"Ran, hello! You look a bit distant again, so I thought I could join you."

She looked around at the room, looking rather annoyed. "I don't know why the conductor even bothers with these little ceremonies. It's not going to make everyone forget that they're away from their homes and such."

"They really went all-out on this stuff, huh?" he said aloud, mostly to himself.

He didn't recognize the boy, but that hardly mattered. The same could be said about almost everyone around here, it seemed.
