Once it was her turn, Asuka moved onto the stage. She wore a special outfit she had found lying around, figuring it was perfect for her performance. Picking up the microphone, she decided to introduce herself to the the ignorant masses. Enthusiastically, she spoke, "Hello~! I'm Asuka Langley Soryu and I will be singing 'I See the Light' along with my partner, Edward Elric. Oh, and if he messes up, please know that it will be entirely his fault...but he'd better not." Then she glared at him for a moment, before smiling sweetly again.

Did she just say that?

Somewhat embarrassed, Ed hurried up to join her on the stage. He wasn't exactly a master of performances, so his professionalism might have been lacking. "Hey, I'm right here, you know! I practiced for this and everything, so be grateful." Fixing his collar, he didn't exactly have much as far as extra clothing, so he basically was just not wearing his usual coat. At least his shirt was clean, though.

Covering the mic, she leaned forward, adjusting the collar for him as he didn't do it to her specific standard. "I am, dear Edward. But you'd better help me win this or else." Then she tightened it a little, trying to give him a small taste of what he might expect later.

Well, aside from the whole stress over being here, and not back in Japan taking care of Numbers missions, Masako was rather excited about this. She would have liked to practice with her roommate before hand, but that wasn't happening at this point. Either way, she was going to win.

She waited for Lilith to arrive, somewhat impatiently.

I'm sorry this is so late! I had a really busy weekend. ofourpeace March 28 2011, 16:04:08 UTC
Luckily, Lilith arrived soon after.

"Hello, Masako," she said. "Are you familiar with the song we're meant to sing?"

Ah, that's perfectly fine. angelvoice8 March 28 2011, 17:22:50 UTC
"Of course," she replied. "I've read through it."

She hadn't heard of it beforehand, but had made sure to at least look over the sheet music before the contest.

Slowly, Ran made her way up to the stage. That night, she was dressed in a beautiful outfit and was without her glasses as well. She looked around for her singing partner, hoping that he would meet with her soon.

Sitting at the table, Conductor seemed pleased with all of the performances. Everyone who partook in them did an excellent job. It actually fared better than she had even anticipated. At the very least, no one got injured...

She folded her hands and deliberated on who she felt did the best job. Ben and Abed's little show was certainly the most elaborate, but their singing was subpar. Tapping her fingers against the wooden surface, she continued to dwell on it some more.

Buguese listened to the performers, trying to keep a mild interest in order to judge properly, though he didn't really care. This whole contest was meaningless. Singing was a useless skill that no one could benefit from. That made the fact that they were threatened into doing so even more nonsensical to him. Once this was over with, he would have his revenge one way or another.

Cisqua sat very politely, hands folded and paying full attention. If she was going to be the source of critique for everyone, she wanted to say some meaningful things and be able to make a proper decision on who made the best effort.

However, she couldn't help but take a look at some of the other judges. It seemed that they weren't all as dedicated to this as she was. She figured it couldn't help to make sure, though.

"Buguese, what qualities are you looking for in the performers?"
