Summary: Having found herself in a new, foreign environment, Shepard explores the Valkyrie Express, only to pause for lunch in the Dining Cart.
Shepard can't remember the last time she had a meal like this. On days she was on mission, she survived off military rations; aboard the Normandy, it was the same cafeteria food they fed the rest of the staff. And while Norris may have prided himself on his culinary prowess, the truth was he wasn't much of a chef at all.
The food on-board the Valkyria Express was good, and though the dining cart afforded more luxurious choices than her selection, she couldn't remember the last time she had the oppurtunity to eat something even as simple as this.
She sits alone at a table, munching quietly on a sandwich divided in two; she gazes, distracted, out the cart's window, staring out at a landscape that's quite foreign from her own.
