Thanks hun! And yeah, I didn't have any flashbacks at all in this chapter, but I am looking at possibly doing two next one. :) And I agree! I wouldn't want Jake to just mope around and shun all females.

And writing a stronger Bella is more fun. :) Thanks for the review!

How does Leah always manage to steal the show? The room just always quiets and everyone perks up when she shows up.
So Lila is a girlfriend and not a calico? LOL Jake didn't seem too concerned about upsetting her. But then I have to wonder at his intentions now that Bella is back. My take is that he's not kidding himself that she wants to be anything more than friends, since she never did.
And you had to do it, didn't you? Cupcakes and stir-fry. Dammit, I'm hungry!
Great job, bb.

Thanks Wills! And there is just something about Leah... she's a dominant female. ;) And yes, Lila is a girlfriend. LOL I did consider a pet, but obviously couldn't decide right away. hehe

And your take would be pretty on target.. Jake went about life the way he had to and he's not expecting anything from Bella (especially since he just found out she's alive haha)

And honestly.. I don't know what it is about me and food. LOL I do like to cook and bake (mostly bake) and I tend to find I like reading about little food details in a book.. like what they're eating. Just a quirk. ;) Thanks for reviewing!

Okay, late late late reaction, but I was on holiday. Or well, I'll use that as an excuse for not commenting.
Anyways, I love the Charlie/Bella development (EW THAT SOUNDS INCESTUOUS BUT YOU GET WHAT I MEAN EH?), and as for Jake: as much as I, in these kind of stories, like to see both Jacob and Bella being sorry, instead of Bella always just groveling to get back with Jacob. I do not like Bella at the end of Eclipse, I'll admit that (ha, as though it wasn't clear), but it always takes two to tango and I never feel justified when all Jacob thinks in fics is "omg she should apologise let me and the entire pack just be an asshole to her because she made the wrong decision at eighteen and is now finally trying to get back on the right track". Exactly what I'm saying here, she's trying, people, so give her a chance. But eh, it's part of the coming back process in these fics, so I'll have to go with it ( ... )

Hey, on holiday is a good excuse! You can have a pass. ;P

And yes, I know what you mean (because, yeah.. ew, incest). I love writing Bella/Charlie!

I know what you mean about Jake because he screwed up, too. His problem with Bella goes back to her giving him up for Edweird. It makes it a little harder.. with pride hurt and all.. and the whole death thing and her not confiding that in him. But I agree.. she's trying, so it makes it harder that they're so tough on her!

Leah is quirky.

And I totally was tempted to make Lila his pet unicorn just so you could have your Barbie experience back. ;) Thanks for the review!

Leah is just like Rosalie as I see it. Both dislike her for her choices but both appreciate her growing up/standing up for herself. And Jacob and Bella... they both "abandoned" home (for different reasons but still) so both have to set things right with family and friends. I loved how Emily "warned" Jacob and analyzed Embry and Quil's behavior. For me it would be easier to forgive Jacob then Bella...although we still don't know what happened. (Just guessing here but the fake death wasn't for the Volturi's sake? If Bella wanted to live and no longer become a vamp that would be a solution...just sayin')
Another great update! It's 00.30am so I'll have to leave the rest for tomorrow...I think...if I can keep my fingers to click on the 'A visit to La Push' chapter! LOL

Thanks! And I agree about the comparison between Leah and Rosalie.. both a bit of a hardass, very opinionated, and strong.

And yes, I think it's a little bit easier to forgive Jacob, though Bella coming back and trying to make things right takes a certain amount of bravery! There will be another flashback in the next chapter about Bella and the "incident" as I like to call it. haha

And hey, feel free to click away if you want to. It would certainly make me happy. ;) Thanks for reading!

Really enjoying this.Glad Jake didn't just run into Bella's arms. I know he's thinking about her, but I like that he's trying to fix the things he broke, because of Bella and not just being solely fixated on her. The interaction between Jake, his sister and father was nicely done. Hope him and his brothers can work things out.

And with very little lines Leah managed to become my fave.

Great chapter.

Thank you! I think it's important to their growth to not be solely fixated on each other.. and to try and fix things with other people that are important in their life. Bella was too obsessed with one thing in the books to realize how much damage she was doing.. and that annoyed me. haha

And Leah is proving fun to write! :)
