THIS JUST IN: The Halo series is incredibly overrated, its gameplay actually kind of sucks, and its story is utterly derivative! More at 11.

I sort of agree, actually. The truth is, Halo is only popular because of it's platform. Back when the first one was released, pretty much all console shooters sucked ass, with the exception of Goldeneye, but even then, Goldeneye was only marginally fun. If Halo had been released on a PC, we wouldn't even know it's name today.
