Stefania Fernandez swept the Ms Universe 2009 title and tiara for Valenzuela, following the footsteps of her predecessor Miss Universe/ Miss Valenzuela 2008 Dayana Mendoza.

I thought LV and Prada are the only largely universal benchmarks women cared about. nothing explains the same set of wish lists (LV/YSL/Tiffany/etc..) among pretty, fugly, hot, timid - all kind of girls.

The bane of feminism is that it is sabotaged by women themselves - younger/prettier women. Not men. You trod cautiously not to reflect a feminist slant - kudos for that.

p.s. you write very well for a student. does that make you a liberal arts undergrad? :)
