The Good: This is from the digitally remastered copy that was much touted when it first came out in Japan. Also, I noticed that the DVD cover art is the same as the Japanese releases.

I think the more humorous approach  to the whole "Realistic Sci-Fi series taking place in the near future" genre works to Planetes' advantage, and makes it a good complementary piece of work when compared to the Planetes manga, which is a more serious look at the same general events.  So far it seems to dance on the fine lines between poking fun at ( Read more... )
