The really interesting thing about this fic is that in any other situation, if House were acting like this -- quiet, scared, hurt -- he would be totally OOC. BUT because it was Wilson who caused it, it is absolutely believable. Like you wrote in this chapter or an earlier one, his first thought would be to call Wilson to talk, but he can't, so he can't even begin to get past it. Kind of a Catch-22 situation.

Just a fascinating fic so far, and yes, of course we remember details like the Xanax. This fic will stick in my head for a long time, I'm sure.
