this is such a fantastic story, it really is. utterly gut wrenching and beautiful at the same time. it's good to see how they more or less managed to get all their issues settled.
The first thing he sees on his desk when he walks into his office the next morning is an envelope. He opens it, and a silvery key falls on the floor in front of him
i have to be honest, when i read that part i audibly whined. thoughts of wilson returning house' key came to mind before i could finish the paragraph. have to say i was relieved to know it was the key to wilson's new apartment.
i love this entire story, i really do. kudos upon kudos to you and those who helped you through it all.

House and Wilson look at each other without judging. This was a necessary line. Good call.

Honestly, I'm not sure that I would have been able to publish anything that met your expectations. (Written it? Possibly, but not while carrying on my day-to-day life.) I'm not completely satisfied with the way this turned out. On the other hand, having written this may enable me to get closer to what I want to produce. I started spinning my wheels a little more than half way through and wanted to be done with it.
Thanks for noticing; I mean that.

Out, that means a bar. Wilson hasn’t been to a bar since that night. “If you want to make sure House shows up, tell him somebody else is picking up the check,” he says.
Also I think Cuddy worked out well in the end.
Congratulations on finishing this. Heck, just the idea of taking over a premise launched by someone else in the first place is a pretty frightening concept, so kudos for pulling it off.
